Utah is a great state to try out several fishing areas. If you are fly fisher, you can plan great fly fishing trips almost anywhere in the state. Superb fly fishing is available with a variety of very large fish. Utah fishing trips can be planned for fly fishing almost any time of the year.

The Logan River and the Blacksmith Fork are famous for excellent Utah fly fishing. If you wish to go fishing in Utah for trout, the Provo River that runs through Provo Canyon is a popular destination among many experienced fishermen. If you like catfish, try planning Utah fishing trips after the spring runoff, when catfish are readily available in the Colorado, Green, and San Juan Rivers.
