There are many types or classes of fishing lures and they all relate to what type of fish they work for. Many fishing lures only work for specific types of fishing, but some fishing lures work for a wide range of species of fish. Here are some of the typical fishing lures.

Light standard casting lures are mostly able to attract a wide range of fish varieties from albacore, bluefish, bonita, oho and crappies. Diamond lures are best used as fishing lures for bass fish varieties, crappie and stripers although diamond lures work on a small range of fish species.
